Donna Wigmore is a Registered Counselling Therapist living and working in private practice in Mi’kmaki, Epekwikt, Turtle Island, aka P.E.I., Canada. She went back to school in her 50s to realize a life-long dream of being a therapist.
IFS is aligned with her philosophical and spiritual understanding of life. She loves to facilitate change with people who experience low self-worth, anxiety and depression. Beginning to see that we may have protector parts who have the good intention to protect us from harm is a pivot point as we begin to consider improving our mental health. She practices IFS with a strong somatic component, understanding that the body truly does keep the score.
Donna has a social justice and feminist perspective and is committed to decolonizing therapy. Her lived experience as a queer AuDHD woman informs her practice. Her beloveds are her cat, Verona, her adult daughter and stepson, nieces and nephews, and brothers and sisters. She is a poet and finds deep healing and infinite resourcing in nature.
